Nice night...

If you like severe weather that is.. I was on the Eastern side of the Schuykill River on Belmont Ave about 8:00 last night when the 1st of 3 storms hit. I was working and driving across the river on city line ave when the continuos cloud to ground lightning came. It was an awesome sight from my vantage point, seeing the strikes across the river. But not so great to be unloading medicine to 2101 Belmont Ave. My night of downpours continued around 10:30 as I left my 3rd stop of the night in Haverford then it slowed a bit until I left my last stop on Chester ave I was inside around 11:30 when I could here the rain and thunder echoing off the roof. Needless to say I got drenched and made my way home up the Schuykill Expy and back home at around 30-35 mph because the rain came down so hard. Of course since they were moving generally Northward and I was going North I had the wall of rain for at least 15 miles. Not sure how much rain we ended up with but Tuesday night here in Lansdale we had 1.44 inches from the offernight 20% chance of showers and storms. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Go NWS! At least the heat wave is over ;)
