Today at around 4:30pm a severe thunderstorm hit my area. 80mph winds snapped trees and brought down light poles and power lines. Golf ball sized hail shattered a woman's windshield. The streets were flooded. I would say we had over a half of inch of rain in under 20 minutes. It moved to the South East and hit Omaha. There were numerous power outages as well. Tonight in my area alone, including Omaha, there are over 12,000 people without power. This storm developed out of nothing adn quickly grew. It has been very humid and warm the last few days so ther was plenty of fule for the fire. It was pretty awesome! I have pics from today under "Storm Damage."
