I was laughing yesterday when I logged onto the weather channel and looked at their 10 day forecast for the Lehigh Valley. It read: "Wednesday--colder high 88." I also heard many meteorologists saying in their teasers yesterday " look out for severe weather tonight, and much colder temps on the way Wednesday." It got me to thinking, is 88 really that COLD for June 11th? I did some research and the average high in the Lehigh Valley should be about 78 degrees for today and in the last few years getting above 83 or so this time of year isnt all that easy in this area. Now I understand the heatwave we just had was exceptional as we got up to 96 yesterday which was a record high, but 88 would only be 8 degrees cooler than yesterday and 10 degrees above the "normal."(assuming we get to 88, which I'm not even sure we will today.) All I know is, mid to upper 80s in the beginning of June is still way above normal, and your still gona go outside and sweat and feel hot. As I am about to go swimming in my pool, I wonder, is today really that cold?
