Showers and even a few embedded thunderstorms will cross the I-95 region today. Some, now on radar will bring heavy downpours and a brief period of gusty winds. No flood watches have been posted for the region but further south into the Richmonda area I do expect a few isolated thunderstorms.
Virginia has been hard hit this spring and due to the active pattern I see another severe weather event before the month is over. La Nina is fading and along with that will come the fading chance of tornadoes in June for the Virginia area. Confidence on this forecast is not high but moderate due to the slow pattern change.
