SUMMER OUTLOOK-SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA, ARIZONA-NEVADA
Posted: (May 19, 2008 04:37 pm)

SoCal has had a cooler than normal spring so far with a higher than normal cloud cover reducing temps in May.  I do see this rolling in June but not as cloudy as May. Temps will average below normal for the coastal areas and near normal in the desert, AZ and Nevada.

As La Nina winds down we'll see a normal July for Precip and Temps and a slightly hotter August. We get the monsoon season going in AZ and some areas will get a drenching t-storm but it might not show up in the rain bucket for that town. They will be scattered so the precip in August will be quite uneven from town to town in AZ, NV and even the Palm Springs area.
