It's me again. This holiday week was unsettled for the most part. Snow fell once, and new years day got to 60 degrees.
Christmas Day: The high was 24 degrees, and for the most part it was clear. Cloudcover came overhead from 9 AM to 4 PM.
Boxing Day: The high was 45 degrees, and it rained, but only once. The day dawned overcast, and the wind was out of the SW.
December 27: The high was 34 degrees, and the overcast came in two intervals, one in the morning, and the other in the afternoon.
December 28: The day was clear untl the late afternoon, when a band of OES snow set up shop over the area. The high for the day was 28 degrees.
December 29: The snow left the area in the wee hours of the morning, but it left about half an inch of accumulation, it melted quickly, simply due to the fact that the temp for the day was 37 degrees.
December 30: Today was a windy one. Went out to dinner that night, expecting it to gust to about 40 mph.(I was one off, 39 mph was the highest gust.) Remember, I was in the fifth grade, and was keeping a close eye on all weather systems at that point. The high was 50 degrees, and not a drop of rain fell, but at times it looked like it was going to.
New Years Eve: It rained around mid afternoon. My father and I cruised the island's roads, just looking for something to do. The temp of the day was 41 degrees. It was, however clear just in time to ring in 2000.
New Years Day: It was clear today. High was 52 degrees.
This ends the holiday week review.
