This could be good

The atmosphere is capped right now, however later this evening things could get a little bumpy. I am expecting things to pick up by 5:30CDT around my area this evening. There is a lot of wind shear happening and the atmosphere is unstable. Right now some high clouds have moved in with some heavier-looking clouds to the north and west. I think the cap is beginning to blow off the area. It's 81 degrees here and breezy, the humidity is still low at 35% but the dew point is 59 degrees.

NWS out of Valley, NE is predicting severe weather, high winds, hail, isolated tornadoes for my area first this evening and then to the south of I-80 later tonight into the overnight.

I will keep updating as things develop. I hope to get some more pics from this first really active system of the season!
