After a nice dry spell, and warm temperatures, a cold front is approaching the area, and will likely arrive by Monday morning with some showers and thunderstorms. Right now, the showers and thunderstorms are lining up from Nebraska to Minnisota.
The map below shows the infrared satelite image. The darker the blue, the higher, and colder the cloud tops are, indicating where the thunderstorms are located:

Rain totals will likely range from a 1/10" to 1/2"+ in thunderstorms. Not everyone will see rain, but right now the chances are about 60 percent from Kansas City points north. The best chance of rain will be early Monday morning through midday. After that, the cold front will push through, and the rain/storms will slide south and east. The passage of the cold front will also bring in cooler temperatures for the next couple days. Highs will be in the upper 60's to low 70's, and lows will be in the 40's.
This is our best chance of rain for at least another week.
