Area Rainfall Totals
Posted: (September 15, 2008 01:36 am)

Here are some rainfall totals from Wednesday through Sunday. These totals are the result of the remnants of what was once Tropical Storm Lowell, and the remnants of Hurricane Ike.

Marceline, MO: 7.30 inches

Emma, MO: 6.29 inches

Lee Summit, MO: 4.26 inches

Pleasanton, KS: 4.25 inches

Lawrence, KS: 5.70 inches

Lexington, MO: 6.25 inches

Grain Valley, MO: 3.67 inches

Paola, KS: 5.40 inches

Lows will drop in the mid to upper 40's tonight, and there will likely be some patchy fog around the area.

Clear. Lows in the mid 40s. Northwest winds up to 5 mph shifting to the west after midnight. Monday should be sunny with highs in the mid to upper 60's. Once again, lows Monday night will drop into the 40's, and patchy fog is possible again.

We should expect a gradual warmup this week, and by the weekend highs will likely be back up to average. It will also be a week of well diserved dry weather, so enjoy it while it lasts.

Here are some stats from Kansas City International:

September Total:  8.84" (+6.70")

This ranks as the 10th wettest September in Kansas City weather history.  The wettest September ever was 16.17" back in 1914.

2008 Total:  36.25" (+8.04")
