IKE GETTING STONGER
Posted: (September 12, 2008 04:05 pm)

Looking a the satellite over the last hour, Ike is def. forming a solid west side and I wouldn't be surprised to see an eye form before landfall.  I"m interested to see what the 5pm pressure will be.  I think it still has a chance of Cat3 before landfall, which could catch some naysayers who did not evacuate off guard.  (have just been informed the pressure is actually up....so maybe cat3 is out of the question)

Cat 3 Maybe

Ike could reach to 115 mph that was my prediction pressure has reained steady for days and I don't see that changing. So my call would be Ike hits Galveston with 105-115 mph winds which is not much different in intenstiy at all. Galvseston and the northeast portion of the Texas Gulf Coast is going to get hit very hard storm surge is the main threat before the strong gusty winds which are just as much of a threat. Kevin
