A line of showers and thunderstorms has began to form across Northern Missouri. They have dumped some heavy heavy downpours, and I think that is all to expect out of these. Expect some isolated showers and thunderstorms around the area today before a surface High sets in to our north.
Since wind blow away from High pressure, we will be dominated be northerly winds, lowering our humidity, dewpoint, and our rain chances wille reduced. The high will also keep our temperatures cool in te low to mid 80's through the weekend.
Heights in the east will begin to rise depending on tropical activity. This will likely cause temperaures in our area to rise, and we should see some more 90's by the end of next week. Will it rain before it warms up. The GFS is forecasting the upper low that has moved South, out of Canada to make a run back toward Kansas City, bringing a chance of heavy rains.
Here is the GFS rainfall forecast from Sunday night through Tuesday:

There is a very low confidence in this possible scenario, but we will wait and see what it looks like as we near next week.
