Icebow in Russia
Shown in this video is an icebow, an occurrence which can be found mostly in cold regions. The video was taken in Russia but icebows also occur in Alaska. An icebow is similar to a rainbow except that it's formed by the refraction of sunlight through suspended ice crystals. The bright spots that appear along the arc are called parhelia, and they give the appearance of multiple suns. Sometimes it may even confuse the viewer as to where the actual sun is. If the ice crystals are big enough a multicolored icebow can appear. In cold weather where ice crystals are present in the atmosphere but the sun or the moon are still visible, either icebows or halos can appear.
