Tornado Outbreak in Oklahoma and Kansas
This footage is of the violent Oklahoma and Kansas tornado outbreak last May 4, 2007. On this same day Greensburg was attacked by a deadly F-5 tornado. This tornado occured just a few hours before the one in Greensburg. The tornado in central Kansas was the most destructive in this outbreak, crushing about 95% of Greensburg in Kiowa county, injuring 60 people, and killing at least 13 people. The outbreak spawned a total of 84 tornadoes as reported the next day, and an additional fourteen more the following day. After the violent weather subsided, Greensburg was considered unsafe and was fully evacuated. However, as a result of the tornadoes, other weather disturbances occured including floods and continuous thunderstorms. It's best to be always prepared for these kinds of weather.
