Oklahoma Ice Storm in 2007
During the 2007 winter season in Oklahoma severe weather has left several thousands of people without electricity, and shrouded the state in a stinging cold while strong winds blew and toppled trees and power lines. The ice storm has nearly paralyzed the region, and the only areas left that still had power were in danger of losing electricity anyway because the cold weather had practically frozen the power lines in ice, and are in risk of snapping under the weight. Thankfully, central Oklahoma didn't experience problems this heavy. All they had were ice pellets and sleet--in other words, just frozen precipitation. Weather can sometimes be extremely mean to one place and really nice to the other. For more weather news and videos, visit MyWeatherLive.com.
