Aftermath of Deadly Hokkaido Tornado

Deadly tornadoes are somewhat rare in Japan, which is why this one is especially alarming. Local officials said at least nine people were killed by the tornado and more than 10 were injured when it hit the northern part of the country. Many others were trapped inside collapsed structures like prefabricated houses and cars, but they were unable to determine how many were mising. Several houses were also damaged, including a temporary dormitory for construction workers. This video shows the aftermath of the tornado and you can see that the town is quite devastated.
