A line of developing showers and thunderstorms is moving into the Mid-Atlantic. Large scale forcing ahead of a cold front will trigger more development through the afternoon. There is plenty of low level moisture in place, with dew point temperatures in many places in the mid 60s. The threat for severe weather will extend from eastern Virginia north into PA/NJ later this afternoon. Damaging winds and isolated tornadoes are possible with the squall line.
