4th Of July Outlook....SOUTH CAROLINA BEACHES
Posted: (July 02, 2008 10:27 am)

The flow turns out of the south this weekend. That means an increase in moisture up and down the east coast. As the weekend progresses dewpoints will steadily climb each day making the air increasingly more uncomfortable. With the added moisture comes the chance of seeing afternoon showers and thunderstorms, especially on Saturday and Sunday. Some of the storms will be accompanied by drenching downpours, strong gusty winds and dangerous lightning.

As of now, it looks like the fireworks shows should be alright to go off during there scheduled times Friday Night. I would not cancel any outdoor activities for Friday itself as this looks to be the nicest of the three days. It's Saturday and Sunday when the chances of seeing bad weather greatly increase.

CHARLESTON -

FRIDAY...Warm and humid with a combination of sun and clouds. High 88

SATURDAY....Sun and clouds, humid with scattered afternoon showers and storms. High 88

SUNDAY...Mostly cloudy warm and humid with showers and storms. High 89

MYRTLE BEACH -

FRIDAY...Mostly sunny and warm. High 89

SATURDAY....Mostly cloudy and humid with afternoon showers and storms. High 85

SUNDAY....Mostly cloudy and humid  with numerous showers and storms. High 84

HILTON HEAD ISLAND -

FRIDAY...Sun and clouds. Slight chance of pm showers and storms. High 84

SATURDAY...Mostly cloudy and humid with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. High 84

SUNDAY... Mostly cloudy and humi with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. High 84

I'm Heading Down To Myrtle Beach

Tomorrow evening. The 12z NAM that just came out shows not a drop of rain Friday or Saturday as the moisture is just off the coast. Can't wait to surf those waves!
