Southern California 4th of July Weekend
Posted: (July 01, 2008 11:36 pm)

I'm going to be in Southern California for the holiday weekend, some business some beach time so if you are visiting or live there here is what to expect.

The heat will be in the usual spots, Pasadena to Riverside and point east to the desert, high desert and inland Empire. Downtown LA will see temps in the upper 70's to low 80s and that should also be the case down to San Diego.  The beaches look great with highs 74-79 and upper 50s to low 60s at night.

Nothing but afternoon sunshine after the typical low clouds and fog in the morning. The wildfires will rage on but thanks to a sliding high pressure the chance of dry lightning t-storms will drop off quite a bit over the next 24 hours.  Wild fires are not reported in 5 states including AZ, CA, UT, and CO.

Have a great holiday weekend and due to the dry conditions try and not use fireworks, let the pros do it
