The Storms Prediction Center has just posted a TORNADO WATCH for a good portion of the Mid Atlantic region. This watch includes Trenton NJ, South Jersey, Philly Metro, Wilmington, Baltimore-Washington DC-Richmond Metro Areas, MD Eastern Shore, DE and MD Beaches, Salisbury-Dover, The Eastern Half of Virginia, The tidewater of Virginia including Virginia Beach-Norfolk-Cape Charles.
The sun is helping to destablize the atmosphere this afternoon and this will increase the chance of severe storms and even a few quick spinning tornadoes. If this is going to happen it will be after 2:30pm West of the metro areas of DC-BALT-PHILLY, in the metro areas from 3:30pm to 5:30pm and the beaches from 5:30pm to 7:00pm.

TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF
DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA
DELAWARE
MUCH OF MARYLAND
ALL BUT NORTHERN NEW JERSEY
PARTS OF SOUTHEASTERN PENNSYLVANIA
MUCH OF EASTERN VIRGINIA
COASTAL WATERS
EFFECTIVE THIS SATURDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING FROM 1225 PM UNTIL
700 PM EST.
TORNADOES...HAIL TO 1 INCH IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS
TO 70 MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE AREAS.
THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 80 STATUTE
MILES EAST AND WEST OF A LINE FROM 25 MILES WEST NORTHWEST OF
TRENTON NEW JERSEY TO 20 MILES EAST SOUTHEAST OF SOUTH HILL

REMEMBER...A TORNADO WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR
TORNADOES AND SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN AND CLOSE TO THE WATCH
AREA. PERSONS IN THESE AREAS SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR
THREATENING WEATHER CONDITIONS AND LISTEN FOR LATER STATEMENTS
AND POSSIBLE WARNINGS.
DISCUSSION...VERY STRONG UPPER TROUGH AND ASSOCIATED WIND FIELDS
APPROACHING MID ATLANTIC STATES WHERE AIR MASS HAS CONTINUED TO WARM
AND DESTABILIZE THIS AM. THUNDERSTORMS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP
ALONG/AHEAD OF COLD FRONT NOW MOVING E OF APPALACHIANS IN THE FORM
OF A SQUALL LINE. IN ADDITION TO WIND DAMAGE...EMBEDDED SUPERCELLS
ARE POSSIBLE WITH TORNADO POTENTIAL. ACTIVITY EXPECTED TO SPREAD
NEWD ACROSS THE WATCH AREA DURING THE AFTERNOON.
AVIATION...TORNADOES AND A FEW SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WITH HAIL
SURFACE AND ALOFT TO 1 INCH. EXTREME TURBULENCE AND SURFACE WIND
GUSTS TO 60 KNOTS. A FEW CUMULONIMBI WITH MAXIMUM TOPS TO 450.

Rob 1996 had the same swings, one week we had snow, then a storm to the west washed it all away with 50;s-60's* temps, then along came a cold storm and dumped more snow, then it was washed away with a warm storm.. It went like that all year, every other week it was different, The Blizzard was washed away in a week, Remember ? Wrong blog go to Nada blog for the same comment
Squall lines

The lines are starting to form as 0f 2:15 pm.. Like you stated, and they are staggerred west of Baltimore down thruogh west of Dc, and already in Eastern Pa...I'm looking for one of these lines to Start Bowing then I'll know we are in for trouble....
