93L is over land, will it become Kyle & where does it go ?
Posted: (September 24, 2008 09:16 am)

93L continues to churn over and near land this morning. This will keep the system from tropical storm status in the short term forecast.  Once it clears land in a day or so it should become a tropical depression or even Tropical Storm Kyle.

WHAT ARE THE COMPUTER MODELS SAYING TODAY....

The models that provide guidance show a NYC hit on the Nogaps, Boston on GFDL and the rest in Northern New England and the Canadian Maritimes.  Rob and I talked the other day and it's interesting that the system would go straight North in late September.

At this point it does look like this will go to NYC or points east of there.  There is a 50% chance that is goes out to sea if it does become a tropical system. For now Rob and I will keep on top of this system with updates twice a day, maybe more if needed.

Rain on Saturday
Posted: (September 24, 2008 11:26 am) by: robguarino

I looked over the new info on the NAM and it has .06" for Saturday in Harrisburg/Lancaster area, which is hershey. The old GFS has .18" for Saturday and that will update in less than 2 hours.

My call is light showers mainly before 1pm for Hershey. Can you get a tent ? The rain will not be heavy but looks to be on and off. I hope this helps

Frank,
My employer has a huge event planned Saturday in Hershey, Pa. How will these different tracks effect that area. We're seeing everything from slight chance to 70-percent rain to rain all day. We're trying to decide whether to cancel or not. Can you offer some insight, please?
