92L, does it become Tropical Storm Kyle ?
Posted: (September 14, 2008 09:28 am)

The National Hurricane Center is watching INVEST 92L for possible development. If this area becomes a tropical depression and moves onto a tropical storm it would be called KYLE.  92L is fighting quite a bit of shear today as winds persist from the Southwest for a good part of the afternoon.  This is the biggest problem facing 92L at this time and until that shear goes away do not expect much to form.
Atlantic Invests
Invest Position Winds Pressure
Invest #92L Lat: 16.3N, Lon:47.5W 29 mph (25 kts) 29.8 in (1009 mb)

The models tend to be all over the place when systems are forming like 92L.  The thinking here is a front will pick up 92L and send it out to sea at this point.  We'll see in the next few days if the shear stops and the front over the western Atlantic picks up this system.
