About Me
Hi. I was born in Washington, DC and raised in the Maryland suburbs (Rockville). I advanced in weather courses in high school so I decided to make that a career path in college. I received my Associates degree from Montgomery College in Rockville and went to work for NOAA/NWS at headquarters in Camp Springs, MD as a tech in the Aviation Weather Branch. From there I moved to Dulles Airport as an Observer/Aviation Specialist. I briefed pilots and organizations on international and domestic weather, including NASA, the RAF, and even AIR FORCE ONE. I also began a career in making forecasts for the Washington, DC area which would be disseminated over the phone. I left the NWS and joined the aviation community where I became an airline dispatcher. I served as a civilian dispatcher with C.R.A.F. during Dessert Storm and took a part time TV Weather position in Richmond, VA. Maintaining the telephone meteorologist position, I began preparing the forecasts for C&P, which became Bell Atlantic, which became VERIZON. I left the television position and joined WMAL-AM630 in the Washington Radio market as a meteorological consultant. My weather background eventually landed me a position with a corporation that installed Lightning Detection Systems at airports. Shortly after September 11, 2001, I returned to the airlines. Eventually, the airline I worked for shut down and in 2006 I moved to Pennsylvania, once again working in the capacity of an airline dispatcher. I continue to produce morning forecasts for VERIZON in the DC Market, and one for a handful of friends for the Philadelphia region. Twice a year the head of the group I am affiliated with produces a long-range forecast, which is archived and never changed during that season. The first day of spring, we produce the summer outlook and the first day of fall we produce the winter outlook.

Other than weather, I have several other interests. I am Married, I like to cook and I enjoy family. I have hobby interests in World War II re-enacting (to honor my father), Genealogy (Italian and Dutch roots), and soccer (Former coach, and goal keeper clinician). I also love wine and champagne and plan wine tours for a handful of our closest friends. Also of note, I am a part-time actor (SAG/AFTRA) and have appeared in 3 seasons of HBO's "THE WIRE" and in the movies, "LADDER 49", "STEP-UP", and "INVINCIBLE".
