I served just 5 days short of 16 years in the USAF, performing duties as a Radar Tech on the F-4E fighter during the Viet Nam era, in the US and Thailand and the Philippines. After 12 years of that I retrained into Satellite Communications, and was retired medically as the result of a rather nasty automobile accident in 1969. After retirement I found employment as a Senior Electronic Technician in Silicon Valley, and later as an instructor in computers, hardware and software.
